Emily Norris Clark joined LeVangie Law Group in February 2024. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from University of California, Davis with highest honors, and her law degree, from University of California, San Francisco College of the Law (formerly U.C., Hastings), where she graduated cum laude. Her role is primarily as a defense litigator and she represents individuals and businesses in a wide range of disputes including torts, property disputes, landlord-tenant, employment, contracts, and some long-term care.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Clark’s most recent role was working as an attorney with the State of California, Department of Rehabilitation. Prior to that, she worked for several defense firms with various areas of expertise including health care insurance, construction defect, legal malpractice, and contract law. She left the state because she missed civil litigation and the in-depth client relationships developed when representing someone and the rewarding feeling that comes with helping them to achieve their goals.
A few notable achievements in her career so far include arguing a demurrer which was sustained without leave to amend, negotiating a $350,000 settlement for her client, and arguing a motion for summary judgment which knocked out half of the claims against her client and convinced the opposing side to settle. She is a diligent and skilled attorney who genuinely cares about her clients, works hard to achieve their goals, and is deeply committed to providing excellent legal services.
Ms. Clark grew up overseas, including West Africa (Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Togo) and Haiti. She is bilingual in French and enjoys studying other languages, including Spanish and Mandarin, Chinese. She has a deep love of travel and has been to 31 countries and counting! Despite the global upbringing and her enjoyment of jet-setting, she is equally happy at home working in her garden of vegetables and flowers, walking and hiking with her dog, and spending time with friends and family.
