ANTWANE H. MACE

Antwane Mace earned his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Iowa, and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2015.   He has been an associate attorney with the firm since 2019.  In that capacity, he works with businesses and individuals to develop and assert legal defenses against claims involving tort, employment, landlord – tenant, contract, corporate, and employment law.

Prior to joining the firm, Antwane served as general counsel for several nonprofit corporations. In that role, he handled a wide variety of litigation, transactional, and compliance matters on behalf of charitable and religious organizations.  He also represented plaintiffs in personal injury and employment cases.

In 2018, he negotiated a $500,000 settlement on behalf of an injured plaintiff.  Later that year, he served as second chair at a trial in Santa Cruz, before the Superior Court of California, during which he successfully argued a series of motions in limine on behalf of a defendant corporation.  His ability to articulate and argue complex legal matters in that case resulted in a quick and favorable settlement prior to a jury verdict. His experience litigating on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants has provided him with a uniquely balanced and effective approach to practicing law.

In his spare time, Antwane enjoys reading, sports, chess, and spending time with his friends and family.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Sacramento County Bar Association, and the Wiley Manual Bar Association.
